Cucumber Seeds (Summer Green)

Cucumber is a good pick if you want a vine crop that doesn't demand the same acreage as gourds and melons — Summer Green stays more manageable, and training it up a trellis keeps the fruit clean and easy to spot when it's ready. It's the everyday salad cucumber, useful for raita, sandwiches, and simple slicing, and picking it fresh off the vine gives you a crunch that's hard to match once cucumbers have sat around after a store trip. Like most vine vegetables here, it wants full sun — 6-8 hours a day — and deep, regular watering rather than light sprinkling. Spacing sits at a manageable 45-60 cm apart, tighter than gourds or melons, which makes it a reasonable option for a large container rather than open ground. A trellis is recommended rather than strictly required, so a simple stake-and-string setup or a small frame against a wall works fine. Harvest arrives comparatively fast, at 50-60 days from sowing.
